We’ve all made it through the many stresses of 2020 and the holidays are finally here along with hopes for holiday cheer. Although many holiday traditions are being altered or skipped this holiday season, there is still cheer to be found!   1. Magic of Lights at Gillette Stadium

Magic of Lights by FunGuys Events is coming to Boston for the first time! It will feature a mile-long drive-thru with tunnels of lights, festive animals and holiday music. The event is running now through January 2nd every day from 5PM – 9:30PM. Be sure to snag tickets in advance as this event is predicted to be a major attraction this holiday season! It’s also Covid-safe with all visitors remaining in their cars for the duration of the event.

  1. La Salette Shrine

La Salette Shrine is a Massachusetts classic for holiday cheer. This family-friendly attraction in Attleboro, MA, near the Rhode Island border, has over 300,000 lights and is completely free. La Salette Shrine is also inclusive of multiple religions, so it is a great option for those who love holiday lights but are members of other religious practices. It also has attractions, games and more to keep the kiddos entertained! The event organizers require all visitors to wear masks both indoors and outdoors when visiting and maintain proper social distancing.

  1. Local Neighborhoods: Somerville, Meadowview Road and 2nd Avenue – Middleton

Not all holiday lights require tickets and some of the best holiday lights are put on by the residents of Boston themselves! There are a few great neighborhoods to take a stroll with your friend, holiday romance, or kids. First up, we have Robinson Street in Somerville, which will release a map of its houses on December 12th. Second, Meadowview Road in Hyde Park has the infamous Canal family home decorated to stand out. Finally, 2nd Avenue in Middleton is home to the Stickney House which also has a visit from Santa on December 12th. The Stickney House welcomes donations to the Special Operation Warrior Foundation.
