New York City is a fantastic city to visit as there is so much to do here! If you’ve found yourself in New York, we have a few wonderful recommendations for you to spend your day. Let’s take a look at what New York has to offer and maybe you’ll find something your whole family will love.

First, what trip to New York City would be complete without visiting Central Park? This park has been a part of TV shows and movies since the dawn of time. This patch of green within towering skyscrapers is the jewel of downtown New York City and one of its greatest tourist attractions. Rent a bike, go on a walk, take a ride in a gondola, or check out the Central Park Zoo. This park is jam-packed with anything you’d like to do on a day outdoors. If you’re in New York for any length of time, make sure you visit Central Park!

Next, we suggest visiting one of the most iconic places in all of the Big Apple, Rockefeller Center. Often referred to as the heart of New York, Rockefeller Center is sure to give you a glorious 360-degree view of the city from its upper decks. It also has an ice-skating rink and is famous for it’s towering Christmas tree in December. They offer tours of the center to learn more about the history of this building’s architecture, as well as art and so much more. Come and rent some space for your event or reserve your wedding here. Make sure to stop on by the center on your trip through New York.

For a somber walk through recent history that will both educate you and touch your heart, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum is where you’ll want to be. This memorial is located directly on the site of Ground Zero where the two buildings of the World Trade Center Plaza once stood. Two pools sit in the footprints of the buildings and the names of all the victims are throughout the memorial. Visit this memorial of 9/11 on the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks.

Finally, the Metropolitan Museum of Art has all of what your inner art lover is looking for. What kind of art are you into? Paintings? Sculptures? Statues? Porcelain? Textiles? Ancient art? Modern art? You name it, the Met has it! Truth is, you’ll likely lose yourself for days in this museum, so be prepared to be here all day. Artifacts from ancient Egypt abound, as well as originals by Vincent Van Gogh. Textiles from the Middle Ages are here, as well as several pieces from our modern era. Come and marvel at the masterpieces of the ages. Everything on display is sure to take your breath away!

This is just a small snapshot of all New York City has to offer. You’re never without something to do. One thing is for sure, you’ll never be bored in this town!
