There are three main avenues of ground transportation to Montgomery Regional – by public bus, shuttle, or taxi. These options are usually much cheaper than parking your own vehicle at the airport. Here is a closer look at these three means of transport to MGM.
1. Public Bus: Montgomery’s public transit system (MATS) offers one bus route that stops directly at the airport. Route 6 connects MGM to downtown Montgomery, with several stops in between including a stop at ‘W. Fairview Ave Transfer Center’. A single ride with MATS costs $2.00. 2. Taxi: located just outside of Door 6 at Baggage Claim, several taxi companies operate throughout Montgomery. Taxis are an excellent on-demand service for travel to the airport.
3. Shuttle Buses: there are two private companies in the area that provide shuttle services – A Touch of Class (1-888-546-6330) and Concierge Shuttle Service (334-538-6383).
4. Hotel Courtesy Shuttles: several hotels in the area offer a free shuttle service to their guests. Contact your hotel ahead of time to see if they offer this service.

An Uber from downtown Montgomery to MGM costs $25-30 for an UberX and $35-40 for an UberXL. The ride to MGM from downtown would take approximately 14 minutes.
