About Clifton

Believe it or not, Johns Hopkins University used to own the area of Clifton Park, which was sold to the city of Baltimore, along with the Clifton Mansion, in 1895. Located in east Baltimore, here you’ll find tennis courts, both clay and grass, an 18-hole golf course, a community center, and a pool. Not only is Clifton Park an urban park, it is also considered a national historical district.

If you find yourself in Baltimore, come on down to the Clifton Mansion and spend a day walking the grounds. This grand structure boasts a tall tower, eighty feet, to be exact, and a sprawling front porch. Immerse yourself in history while enjoying one of the most famous sites of the city.
