About Depot Bench

Depot Bench is a neighborhood just outside of Downtown Boise that is home to the Boise Depot. This depot was built in 1925 to accommodate the Union Pacific Railroad. By building the depot on the hill, the railroad united all the small surrounding suburbs, thus making them within the city limits of Boise proper.

This neighborhood is one of the oldest in Boise and boasts several kinds of historic, as well as modern architecture. It is a cozy, yet vibrant neighborhood, full of charisma and charm. “The Bench” is located up on a natural hill, overlooking the city, which gives this neighborhood a small town feel and a breathtaking beauty all its own.
