About Medical District
The Medical District of Austin, Texas is a neighborhood that recently constructed a brand new school known as the Dell Medical School. This is Austin’s first—and only—medical school, which completed construction in 2016. The construction of Dell Medical School is not only an exciting new venture for the city of Austin, but it has created a wealth of new jobs and a boom of neighborhood construction.
The medical school also shares the Medical District with a teaching hospital known as the Dell Seton Medical Center. These facilities are brand new, with the Dell Seton Medical Center completed in 2017. Both of these facilities are proudly a part of the University of Texas.
