Are you in need of public transportation to take you to the airport? Here are some options for you:
1. Choice Taxi - Choice Taxi is a taxi service that is more than happy to fulfill your traveling needs. Choice Taxi provides a quick option to get to and from the airport without worrying about your vehicle. Living in an age where transportation is so accessible to the point of being only a few clicks away from having Uber or Lyft pick you up, it is easy to see the appeal of taking advantage of these services for your transportation needs. However, suppose you like having your car at the airport and the idea of having your car waiting for you upon return from a long trip. In that case, you will love the deals we are offering for Pensacola International Airport. Starting at $4.99/day, we are pleased to give you an affordable option!
Parking rates for the Pensacola International Airport can get quite expensive. If you are using their surface parking lot for 1 hour, the cost will be $2.00 and parking for 24 hours at the surface parking lot costs $9.00/day, which is more expensive than using our off-airport parking for the day.
The parking garage of the Pensacola International Airport is even more expensive than the surface parking lot. To park at the parking garage for just 30 minutes costs you $1.00 and to park for a full day at the airport's parking garage costs $11.00 per day. The airport's economy parking lot is, of course, cheaper, with a price of $2.00 to park for 1 hour and the price of $8.00 to park for a full day. The Pensacola International Airport was started in 1933 when Lee Conner Hagler and Harry Blanchard purchased 504 acres of land northeast.
The airport started as two grass airstrips with a surplus Navy hangar.
In 1934, the first commercial flight landed in Pensacola. The city of Pensacola purchased the airfield in 1935 for $50,000. With the Works Progress Administration's help, the City of Pensacola turned the
airfield into a permanent municipal airport. The National Airlines began regular commercial flights to Pensacola on November 1st, 1938.
