The population of Woodland Hills hovers around 65,000 residents and is one of the most dense neighborhoods in the Los Angeles area. The original name of the town was Girard, as it was founded in 1922 by a man named Victor Girard Kleinberger. The town of Girard became incorporated into Los Angeles and was renamed Woodland Hills in 1945. 

The city is dotted with several options for parks and recreation, including the Woodland Hills Country Club, an exclusive and private golf club.
