The first on our list is Nightmare Village, hosted by Xtreme Action Park. This event runs from October 14th to October 31st, and has two haunted houses – The Seventh Gate and Carnival of Carnage. This haunt in particular is not recommended for attendees under 13, so please keep that in mind when planning a family outing! Pricing for the event looks to be around the $35 mark, and you can take a look at tickets online here. There is also their Kid Friendly option, recommended for ages 6+, which is $25 – tickets for that are here. Please note that the Kid Friendly option is only available on October 28th.
Hosted by Tree Tops Park, The Haunt is the only haunted trail in southern Florida. Perfect for adults looking for thrills and chills, it’s held in over 500,000 square feet of natural forest. There are four themed trails this year: Florida Man, Psycho Path, Camp Carnage, and La Bruja’s Graveyard. There are regular admission, R.I.P admission, and even Fast Pass tickets available for purchase. There is also a kid-friendly Twilight Trail on select dates for younger attendees who want to take part, but don’t want all the spooks. For the adults, there’s live music, chef-curated menus, delicious themed cocktails, and unique performances. This event runs from October 13th to October 31st, with Twilight Trail (kid-friendly) dates being on October 21st, October 28th, and October 29th. General admission tickets are $45-$60; R.I.P. tickets are $99-$120; and Twilight Trail tickets are $15. Fast Pass is an extra $25 per ticket. Held at The LOOP on Fort Lauderdale Beach, Pumpkins & Palm Trees is a more kid-friendly event than the other two on our list thus far. This event is free, and has events on October 20th, October 21st, and October 22nd. The event on October 20th is Movies by Moonlight, which recommends that you bring lawn chairs, blankets, family, friends, and even your dog! This event is located on the Main Lawn at Las Olas Oceanside Park. The film being put on is Happy Halloween, Scooby-Doo! so it’s perfect for younger audiences. The movie starts at 7:30pm, with marketplace vendors being available from 5pm-10pm and a photo booth being available from 5pm-8pm. On October 21st, there’s the Happy HOWL-O-Ween at the MTK, also located at the Las Olas Oceanside Park. From 9am to 4pm, you can engage in the sip, shop, and stroll, featuring local vendors, makers, and artists. You can snap Instagram-worthy photos in the Pumpkin House and at any of the available themed photo stations, and pick a pumpkin out from the carefully curated pumpkin patch. You can even pre-order a pumpkin decorating kit for $10! From 9:30am to 10:45am, there’s yoga on the lawn with Lisa Pumper. Then, from 11am to 2pm, you can bring your dog along to watch an agility course and tricks for treats presentation, performed by Dog Training Elite; bobbing for tennis balls; great giveaways; costume parade of pups; and they even include hydration stations and cool zones! Live music plays from 12pm to 3pm. Finally, on October 22nd, they’re having the 3rd annual Pumpkins & Palm Trees, which includes the Best Pie in GFL Competition, along with a bunch of other stuff!
