Kansas City is sought out by many travelers due to the elegant architecture and layout of the city and most visit between April-October. Of course, those months are the best weather months. With great opportunities for getting outside and enjoying the city, but they are heavily impacted with tourists. If you wish to travel during those months, then I highly suggest taking a few extra precautionary moves to make sure you don’t look like the mass of tourists. 

Weather and Clothing 

During the fall it can be chilly in the mornings and nights, but during the day it can get up to 80 degrees. During the spring it can be as low as 35 degrees and as high as 60s, so pack some light and heavy options for these two seasons. The weather is super nice, ranging from 60s to 80s. In the winter it is freezing so make sure to dress and pack accordingly. Under dressing or not packing the right clothes can be a surefire way to tell you are a tourist, so make sure to pack the right clothes for the time of the year.

Rent a Car

Renting a car isn’t always a good bet, but in Kansas City it’s easy to drive around and get where you want to go. The city is very spread out and if you don’t rent a car then your wallets will be hurting from Ubers or taxis.

While visiting Kansas make sure to check out the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art. The museum is huge and is a favorite destination for locals and visitors. Don’t take many pictures.
