Flying is a stressful experience, even for the calmest of people among us, wading through crowds of people, and joining never-ending queues for security are not fun things at the best of times, but especially not in the busiest airport in the world; so if you find yourself at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, then take some time to escape the mayhem and head to one of the many available lounges.

American Airlines Admiral Club

Wait for your flight in comfort in the Admiral Club Lounge, the elegant decor and relaxing atmosphere make for a perfect place to rest before your trip. There is only one Admiral Club Lounge available at Atlanta International Airport, that can be found here;

Concourse T -North Terminal, just beyond security on the left-hand side, opposite Gate T11

The opening times of the lounge are 4am until 8:15pm on Sunday through to Friday, and 4am until 7:45pm on Saturdays.

You will need either an Admiral Club membership card to gain access to the lounge, or if there is space available on the day, you can pay a one-off fee of $59 for a day pass. If you are a frequent flyer, it is worth looking at the types of annual passes on offer. Once you are inside the lounge you will find the following facilities;

  • Printing Services via Hotspot
  • Personal Assistance
  • A Variety of Snacks
  • Internet Access

The Admiral Club Lounge doesn’t have a specific sleeping area, however, there are plenty of relaxing seating areas to choose from, where you can squeeze in a nap before you set off.

Delta Sky Club

Since the main Delta hub is based out of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, there are nine club lounges for you to choose from, in the following locations;

With so many lounges to choose from with various opening and closing times, it doesn’t really matter what time your flight is, or when you arrive at the airport, there will always be a lounge open for you. You can only enter the lounges if you are a member of the Delta Sky Club, and depending on the space available, it may be possible to pay for a day pass, however, there are several options for annual passes if you are a frequent flyer, that might be worth looking into. Once you are inside the lounges you will find the following facilities;

While none of the lounges have sleeping facilities, there are extremely comfortable seating areas for you to unwind, all of the lounges are modern, light and sleek, and offer a great space for you to relax before your trip.

United Club

You will get to have a luxury experience in the United Club Lounge at Atlanta International Airport, the lounge has an excellent view of the runway, and the decor is extremely sophisticated, without being pretentious. There is only one lounge at the airport that you can find here;

Terminal T, between GateT11 and Gate T12

The lounge is open every day from 4:45am until 8:45pm, with the exception of Saturday when it closes at 7pm.

You can access the lounge if you are a United Club member, and depending on your membership status it may be possible for you to take a guest with you free of charge, although if this is applicable it usually has to be a family member, or you can purchase a day pass at the door for $59 regardless of what flight class you have. Inside the lounge the facilities you will find include;

  • Drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic)
  • Magazines and Newspapers
  • Televisions and use of their telephones
  • Flight Information
  • Internet Access
  • Air-Conditioning
  • A Variety of Snacks

There may be additional charges on certain food and drink options, and there are no sleeping facilities in the lounge.

USO Lounge

The USO Lounge is specifically for members of the U.S Military who are currently active, and their families. There is one USO Lounge at Atlanta International, and there is a wide array of facilities and amenities available to use, you will find the lounge in the airport here;

Jean R Amos Center – Suite Number 320, on the Third Floor

The lounge is open weekdays from 7am until 9pm, Saturday from 8am until 7pm, and Sunday from 7am until 9pm.

The lounge access is completely free for the qualifying personal, and the facilities inside are all free also. Inside the lounge you will find;

  • Play Area for Children
  • Food and Drinks
  • Computers
  • Personal Assistance

There are no sleeping facilities, but the lounge does have reclining lounge areas.

The Club at ATL

This lounge offers a much welcome break from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the airport, and inside you will find a modern setting in a calm environment, with fantastic views of downtown Atlanta. The Club Lounge is here;

International Terminal – Concourse F, Mezzanine Level

The lounge is open every day from 6am until 10:30pm. You can book a pass prior to your visit to the airport online, where it costs $40 for a three-hour visit to the lounge (children under 2 go free with one paying adult), you can purchase a pass on the day but only if there is space available, or alternatively, if you are a member of the priority pass club, then you can use this card for entry. Inside you will find the following facilities;

Fax and telephone facilities are available at an extra cost, and while there are comfortable seating areas, there are no specific sleeping areas.
