Take advantage of the free guided state capital building tours. The tours are from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays. On the weekends, the tours begin at 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. The tours start from the map room, where you will be using the Third Street entrance to access the room. It will take you no more than 45 minutes to explore this area.
2. Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens
Founded in 1985, the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens covers around 88 acres of botanical space. Visitors can take part in the conservatory’s many social, cultural, and educational events.
However, if you just want to enjoy yourself, you may opt just to wander around and admire the unique seasonal arts, garden, nature-based exhibitions, and plant collections found in the conservatory. If you’re fortunate to come during the first Sunday of the month, your entrance to the conservatory will be free.

The North Market is among the largest and oldest Farmer’s Markets in Columbus. Every Saturday, around 30 farmers create a dazzling display of their local fresh produce which includes vegetables, flowers, fruits, herbs, and honey. 4. Wexner Center for the Arts
Located at the Wexner Center for the Arts in Ohio State University, the center’s galleries feature the most exquisite artworks of some of the world’s most notable contemporary artists, documentary producers, and filmmakers. 5. The German Village
As the village’s name implies, this tourist spot has been the home of many German immigrants during the mid-19th century. TheGerman Village was enlisted as a national historic landmark in 1974 and has attracted thousands of visitors annually since then.
6. Topiary Park
Historically, the Topiary Park is known as the Old Deaf School Park. The park is a popular tourist destination for its numerous topiaries that scatter all through the garden. Volunteers maintain this non-profit garden. They offer educational resources to boost the experience of those who don’t know the history of the park.
7. Scioto Mile
The Scioto Mile is 145 acres of parkland where visitors and locals can take a stroll or go biking around. The area has a 15,000-square foot interactive fountain where kids and adults alike are often seen having tremendous fun. It also has an amphitheater for entertainment and an outdoor climbing wall for tourists to try on.
