Brunch

Of course, we haven’t forgotten the main event of Mother’s Day: brunch! And with the selection of talented chefs, kitchens, eateries, and restaurants here around Penn Station, moms of every palate and taste will find themselves truly spoiled for options. Friedman’s is a great midtown establishment for laid-back, family friendly dining heavy on the portions and fruit, while Hole In The Wall is a delicious tour of the Australian-inspired cafe taking New York City by storm, with carefully assembled toast, burgers and impressive latte art. However, it is the imaginative menu at The Wilson that is our highlight of the area, serving up local favorites such as Manhattan Clam Chowder and juicy hanger steak.

That being said, Mother’s Day doesn’t have to stop at brunch, as there is also an envious roster of restaurants to choose from for looking at Mother’s Day dinner, whether with the whole family or just for Mom and Dad. Keens Steakhouse will delight Mom with an enviable selection of mutton chops and lovingly crafted steaks, while Ichiran is a different twist on the traditional idea of brunch, where the whole family can enjoy savory bowls of tonkotsu ramen.
