Are you in Arlington, Virginia wondering what to do? Why not take a chance on a 13-mile drive and come on down to Roer’s Zoofari? This unique little zoo is open to the public and their hours of operation are 10am to 4pm. Admission prices are as follows. For adults 12 years and older, the fee is $25. For Seniors 65 years and older, the fee is $23. For children between the ages of 3-11, the fee is $15. Children under the age of 3 are free! Make sure you order all your passes online to avoid a higher price at the door. All tickets have admission times to cut down on crowds and to control the amount of people in the zoo at any given time. Be sure to have all guests wear masks properly over your nose and mouth before entering the zoo.

There are three ways to experience Roer’s Zoofari. You can take a self-guided drive-through safari, or you can take the walking tour. Alternately, you can do both! You are not obligated to both, but it is an option. If you’d like to do both tours, you must do the drive-through tour first, and the drive-through safari has times for you to choose online when you wish to take your tour. You’ll want to follow the signs for the drive-through safari and check in at the admissions building with your reservations ready to go.

If you’d also like to do the walking experience tour, it is open from 10am to 3pm. You do not have to wait in the self-guided drive-through line. You’ll enter the Zoofari through the Gift Shop and that’s where you’ll check in for the walking experience tour.

You can also experience the budgies! Roer’s Zoofari has an exclusive Budgie Adventure, which is a free-flight aviary where you can come and get to know the birds personally! If they land on your feed stick, you may feed them if you like. The Zoofari has both hens and peacocks for your enjoyment as well! When you purchase tickets for this experience, you may also purchase food for the birds before your adventure in the aviary. This is a one-of-a-kind experience you don’t want to miss!

Do you love lemurs? There is an opportunity to meet and feed them during the Lemur Encounter! This encounter is $40 for all guests 5 years old and older. Children under the age of 5 years old are not allowed into this experience. You’ll be able to spend 15 to 20 minutes inside the Lemur enclosure and feed them various fruits provided by the zoo. You are not allowed to chase or touch the animals, but if you let them, the animals might chase and touch you! The price of admission to this encounter does not include admission to the zoo, so plan accordingly. Cameras are welcome!

If you’re up for a short drive, pack up the family and go for a drive through Roer’s Zoofari, meet the Lemurs, and marvel at the Budgies! Come on down, the gates are open!
