Despite the stress of 2020, the holidays are finally here along with hopes for holiday cheer. Although many holiday traditions are being altered or skipped this holiday season, there is still cheer to be found! In many cities, including Baltimore, a festive activity that is still socially-distant is viewing Christmas lights around the town.
Whatever you’re looking for this year, there are multiple options for a festive outing either walking outdoors or driving past in your car. Check out the list below for the top spots to get lost in the twinkle of Christmas lights!
34th Street in Hampden
The neighborhood of Hampden has a long-standing tradition for their 34th street Christmas lights this year being their 73rd anniversary. Perfect for the whole family, they have dazzling displays of lights. The event officially opened the first week of December, despite some debate around the timing for opening. It is free to view, but residents do ask that all visitors are cognizant of Covid-safe practices like masks and social distancing and do not linger, so that all can view without increased risk.
