If you find yourself in Houston with nothing fun to do, why not come on down to the Houston Zoo? Tickets are on sale until February 28th and pricing is as follows. Each adult 12 and up are $27.95. Children between the ages of 2-11 are $22.95. All children under the age of 2 are free! Please note that masks are required to enjoy your day at the zoo. The zoo opens at 9am and closes at 5pm 7 days a week, but the last call for admission is at 4pm. Tickets must be reserved online as they are timed with your specific entry time in order to stagger admissions and disperse large crowds.

If you’d like to become a member of the Houston Zoo, the prices break down as follows. The Individual Plus plan for 1 adult and a guest is $119. The Family plan is $159 and includes 2 adults and 3 children. The Family Plus plan is $189, and includes 2 adults and 5 children. The Senior plan for 65+ is $139 for 2 adults and 5 children. The Family and Friends Premium package is $249, which allows 3 adults and 10 guests!

Would you like to meet some elephants? Why not check out the Elephant Encounter? This experience is $195 for members or $220 for non-members per person. Children of all ages can attend, but your party cannot exceed 12 people in total. While no flash photography is allowed, there will be photo opportunities during the encounter. You will see how close the relationships are between these gentle giants and their keepers at the zoo. You will be able to feed them and also hear heart-warming stories about their herd and be able to pet the elephants in the exhibit as well. This is an encounter you do not want to miss! The Houston Zoo Elephant Encounter runs Fridays and Sundays from 12:45pm to 1:30pm.

You might also love the Sea Lion Painting Experience. This experience is $325 for members or $350 for non-members per quarantine household, up to four people. All guests over the age of 10 must wear a mask during this experience. You will be able to collaborate with the artists (the sea lions) and their keepers to create a piece of art that is not only one-of-a-kind but will be able to go home with you to be proudly displayed as a unique conversation piece! This experience is not for children under the age of 4 years old, and for every child under the age of 12, they must be accompanied by a different adult in your party. The maximum person count for this encounter is 4 people and it is held on Wednesdays from 9:30am-10:15am. Again, no flash photography will be allowed, however there will be a photo opportunity with the masterpiece you have painted together for bragging rights!
