Aside from the big acts, plenty of smaller local bands will take the stage, and has quickly become one of the biggest hubs for creativity and music of the Commonwealth.

Juneteenth around the Capital

Around the Capital itself and around the Maryland and Virginia suburbs, Juneteenth is another major event of Father’s Day weekend! Here, families can rejoice in one of the most important events in African-American history in a myriad of cultural programs, performances, live music, arts, crafts, storytelling and more! Aside from the numerous activities and festive atmosphere, there are also plenty of small businesses, talented kitchens, delicious food trucks and open-air markets that come to complete the occasion!
