Miracle on 34th Street

Every year during the Christmas season, the neighborhood of Hampden on 34th street goes all out and puts on a spectacular light show. On this street, you will find Christmas-themed inflatables, things like candy canes along the sidewalks, and of course, the beautiful Christmas lights. One of the event’s favored attractions is the Christmas tree. This Christmas tree, however, is a unique one, made out of hubcaps and created by a local artist, this Christmas tree is truly something to behold. The lights are hosted by the Howard County General Hospital and have been for over twenty years while also raising over eight million dollars for the Howard County General Hospital. Lighting at the George Washington Monument

While writing this list, it would be a crime if we failed to mention the annual lighting at the George Washington Monument. Located in the six hundred block of Cathedral Street at Mount Vernon Place. When visiting this spectacular event, you will be able to enjoy the beautiful performances of different choirs, gorgeous lights, and exciting display of fireworks. The event is hosted on December 5th and offers multiple vendors that provide food and refreshments. However, the monument will be lit up throughout the month of December, providing you the opportunity to visit and see the lights, just in case you can’t make it into the main event on the 5th of December.
