New York City is a fantastic city to visit as there is so much to do here! If you’ve found yourself in Carnegie Hall, New York, we have a few wonderful recommendations for you to spend your day. Let’s take a look at what New York has to offer and maybe you’ll find something your whole family will love.

First, we recommend the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which has all of what your inner art lover is looking for. What kind of art are you into? Paintings? Sculptures? Statues? Porcelain? Textiles? Ancient art? Modern art? You name it, the Met has it! Truth is, you’ll likely lose yourself for days in this museum, so be prepared to be here all day. Artifacts from ancient Egypt abound, as well as originals by Vincent Van Gogh. Textiles from the Middle Ages are here, as well as several pieces from our modern era. Come and marvel at the masterpieces of the ages. Everything on display is sure to take your breath away!

Second, we suggest the eclectic Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). Exhibitions displayed currently involve Surrealist Objects, 19th Century Innovators, Public Images, Machines, Mannequins, and Monsters, and so much more! MoMA is open to the public but be sure to book your reserved ticket time online. There are a few options for dining at MoMA as well, such as The Modern, Café 2, and the Terrace Café. If you like art that’s somewhat edgy and a little different, MoMA is your choice to visit.

What trip to New York City would be complete without visiting Central Park? This park has been a part of TV shows and movies since the dawn of time. This patch of green within towering skyscrapers is the jewel of downtown New York City and one of its greatest tourist attractions. Rent a bike, go on a walk, take a ride in a gondola, or check out the Central Park Zoo. This park is jam-packed with anything you’d like to do on a day outdoors. If you’re in New York for any length of time, make sure you visit Central Park!

Finally, we suggest visiting one of the most iconic places in all of the Big Apple, the Empire State Building. Open to the public, be sure to reserve your tickets online. The 86th floor observatory gives you and the family the perfect vista of the New York City skyline directly from Midtown Manhattan. This observatory is open-air and gives you a 360-degree view of the entire city. From this deck you’ll be able to see Central Park, the Statue of Liberty, as well as the Brooklyn Bridge. Restaurants are also open within the building, so come and make a day of it with the kids!

This is just a small snapshot of all New York City has to offer. You’re never without something to do. One thing is for sure, you’ll never be bored in this town!
