If you are considering receiving the vaccine, it is advised that you look around for a distribution center and make an appointment. Many of the centers that are administering the vaccine do require patients to have an appointment ahead of time.

For Chicago residents, your first choice to receive your COVID vaccination is from your primary health care provider, health clinic, or your local hospital. Over 600 health care providers have been authorized to distribute the vaccine. Make sure to call ahead of time as many require appointments.
Specific employers have been granted authorization to administer the COVID vaccine to essential workers groups. If you are planning to receive your vaccination via your employer, there is no need to take any further action.
Several Chicago retailers are authorized to distribute the vaccine as well. It is suggested that you call ahead of time, as an appointment may be necessary.
