Are you wondering what to do while in Jacksonville, Florida? Why not visit the Jacksonville Zoo? Hours are 9am to 5pm and tickets are on sale for $24.95 for adults between the ages of 13-64, $19.95 for children between the ages of 3-12, and $22.95 for Seniors aged 65 and over. If you’d like to become a member, an individual membership is available for $65. The single adult family membership is available for $120, which includes one adult and all the children between 3-17 years of age in your household. The family membership is available for $145, and this includes two adults and all the children living in your household between the ages of 3-17.

Several events are going on at the Jacksonville Zoo. Come and take a Stroller Safari from 8:45am-9:30am on Tuesday, February 16th or Saturday, February 20th through the Aviaries with your little ones! This is an educational class designed for children between the ages of 0-3. All registration must be done online; no registrations will be accepted by phone. You’ll meet an animal ambassador and learn all about the birds! This class is first come first serve so make sure you get your registration in today, as it is limited to only the first 8 families who register.

 Additionally, the Stroller Safari winds through the Africa Loop 1 which includes the flamingo and the zebra in March. It meanders through the Africa Loop Part 2 which includes the lion exhibit in April, and in May, the Stroller Safari finds itself in the Asian and Riverview Gardens. Give your littles the opportunity to learn about the animals of our amazing planet!

Do you or a loved one have a birthday coming up? Why not celebrate at the zoo? You can book a birthday celebration outside with up to 10 people at your choice of the Ranger Station in the Range of the Jaguar, or at the Asian Garden Pavilion. Each guest you invite will receive general admission to the zoo and the zoo provides all you need for your special day!

Alternately, you can hold a virtual birthday party, which provides a 30-minute birthday presentation via Zoom by the zoo. You may also add a birthday box with this option which includes a plushy animal for the birthday child, as well as an animal mask, a goodie bag, themed plates and napkins, and all the educational info you’d want on the child’s favorite animal. This is a fantastic package; don’t pass it up if you know a child with a birthday coming soon! You can even have the zoo email you personalized birthday party invites that you can print out and send out to all your child’s closest friends.
