Charles C. Jensen Botanical Garden

Founded in the year of 1958 by Charles C. Jensen, the Charles C. Jensen Botanical Garden is well worth the visit! The garden sits on three and a half acres of land and tells a rather compelling story. The garden began when Charles C. Jensen moved from his home in Oakland to his new home in Carmichael. Charles made numerous trips back and forth from his previous home in Oakland and back to his new home in Carmichael to transport plants from his old garden and into his new one. After transporting all that he could from his old home and clearing out a spot to start planting in his new one, he created the Charles C. Jensen Botanical Garden. After Charles passed away, the community decided to preserve this beautiful garden and is now a wonderful botanical garden to spend time in California. Become a part of this lovely story and visit Charles C. Jensen Botanical Garden when spending time in Sacramento!
